Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Information will work together to prevent disinformation
From now on, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting will work in tandem with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prevent disinformation directed against Bangladesh. This announcement was made by the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad A. Arafat on the first day of assuming office. He expressed this opinion by expressing his gratitude to Former Minister of Information and Broadcasting and new Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Hasan Mahmud.
At the same time, the state minister promised to ensure freedom of expression and free flow of information and free flow of media.
He said that if someone or any group does abuse and lies, it is harmful to democracy and common people. If anyone deceives the common people by lying or misrepresenting, they will be brought under accountability. I want to work with everyone in the coming days to ensure the free flow of correct information in a better way.
Senior Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Ministry Humayun Kabir Khondkar, Chief Information Officer Md. Shahenur Mia and others were present while talking to the media workers after taking charge.
Then at noon, Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, different countries will have different views, but at the end of the day we will work together with everyone. Besides, many countries of the world, including the western world, have congratulated the new government and there is no pressure about the elections, he said.
Meanwhile, Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen, Secretary (Maritime Affairs Unit) Rear Admiral (Retd.) Md. Khurshid Alam, Additional Foreign Secretary Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and officials of the ministry and media representatives attended the meeting.
